 LONGINGS

We all experience some situations in our life which shake us to the core. At times moving on is easy but most of the time it's way more difficult than we think. Inspired by such an event, this poem talks about how someone or something can be your hope and your new start.

Was walking in the eternal night 
With chains all around 
Had no voice to raise 
And no will to go against 
With the air, the blood turned cold and was starting to freeze 
Being a curse rather than a boon 
Was drowning in the blues 
And the darkness reigned endless 
As time went by, 
The eyes saw a miracle 
The break of dawn and a ray of light 
Symbols of warmth and happiness 
Moreover of hope 
A thought finds a way 
"Let's change and start anew, 
There is happiness for you too"
