SO DISTANT : POEM

🕀 So Distant 🕀

The person you love the most suddenly grows distant and both of you in the same room struggle to talk. You want to share but he's not there. He wants to come but he can't. The two of you are growing distant with each passing day. And one day, you ponder on the question of 'when'?

So distant

A smiling face, bathed in sunlight
A face I dreamt and remember so well
A face like sun itself
A face that walks out every night,
Reducing me to specks.
I want his time and love, but can't
We desire the same thing but is beyond our reach
He with his pices and I with my shreds
I envy the metal pieces,
'Cause they know you better than I do.
My cousins been telling stories,
Stories of you.
There's just one question,
"Since when we grew so distant?"
